Mathematical Thinking is more important.
I did not have a chance to learn in-depth calculus when I was in university (ICB) because simply it is different from other universities in China.
I did not even major in Telecommunication so everything in my mind is related to computing symbols, or whatsoever possibly related. I just
FOUND OUT these days after i dig into some Wireless articles : every science is based on mathematics. :( Maths are important, but a knowledge of
full math formulas is not quite necessarily useful. Instead, in my opinion, remembering too many math symbols can delay or set contraints to our
thinking. You cannot help falling into one direction, in other words, your thoughts can not soar without penalty.
Physically, I hated wireless communication one month ago, i knew almost nothing in that area, when i was trying to write RS1 proposal, i wrote
it in my own thoughts. It was an incorrectly-randomly-made-up proposal. After I got the feedbacks from Jie, i started to read more articles /
books, and i become more interestingly involved in this area. As those new things are not exluded from my mind anymore, i will catch you up, one day.
Thinking a novel thing through in a rather interesting mathematical way is extremely important, and that is why once and a while, brainstroming is
recommended. I know a good way to practice your brain --- to do more programming, you can think of a small utility to program, or a much bigger project
which can help other guys accomplish something, or you can visit http://acm.timus.ru to conquer some problems.
Last word is --- Practice makes perfect~ I can not believe more.
